Four of us visited the State Museum in Cheyenne, WY. The teenager didn't want to go, but she had great fun. Since we went on an odd day, very few people were there, so she got to pretend she was a kid again in the children's area, trying on a corset, riding the big, sturdy, wooden horse, and beating the drums in the teepee.
We all really enjoyed the fact that there was a little bit of all types of Wyoming history. Typically a museum has a lot of certain things and you get bored with them. Here they had very small displays of all different periods, such as dinosaurs, rocks, military, cowboy, and appliances.
We could quickly move from display to display, seeing the whole museum in about an hour. We could have spent longer, but we were moving at a finicky teenager's pace.
