I stayed here for 4 days and was very pleased. My kids got a real kick out of the owners dog...and I am sure "Corky" liked them as well.

We are in Dubois on a monthly basis 9 months of the year and we always stay here. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. We request kitchen facilities - full-sized stove and fridge. The only thing missing is comfortable chairs (over-stuffed) to relax in. There's a nice area on the river for a picnic or fishing, and corrals for horses. Plenty of parking. Nice and quiet. Friendly, helpful owner/manager.

Great little inn. A bit rustic but clean and with all the emenities one would need. The staff, especially the owner, are wonderful and very helpful making you feel like you are visiting a friend. Would stay there anytime I'm in the area.

Our main problem was with the three day cancellation policy. We made telephone reservations two weeks in advance. We arrived at the motel at appoximately 4:00pm.When we arrived our room had no heat and the outdoor temperature was in the 40's. Attempts to repair the heat took several hours. We booked a room at another motel becuse it was getting late we wanted a habitable room for the night. The management at Bald Mountain refused to credit either our first or second night's reservation because we "did not give them enough time to make the repairs".
