The Luana Inn is perfectly located for exploring Cook's Bay, Place of Refuge, and snorkeling. The view from the Inn is spectacular, and especially appreciated from the pool and jacuzzi. The Inn is away from the touristy Kailua. Rooms were adequate and clean, but we found the beds to be too firm for our liking. Ken and Erin are gracious hosts who support sustainable tourism (much appreciated). Our dining experiences differed from their recommendations.

The Luana Inn was wonderful. We enjoyed the best breakfasts we've ever had and we continue to talk about them. Our room was exactly what we wanted - open, a small kitchen and porch. We are telling all of our friends to stay at the Inn. Erin and Ken were right on with their recommendations for eating out. Once again, thank you!

My husband and I didn't know much about the Big Island when we booked our five-night honeymoon stay at the Luana Inn. But we couldn't have picked a better spot than South Kona, with its laidback, small town, far from the maddening crowd feel--or a better B&B than the gorgeous Luana Inn. Erin and Ken are wonderful hosts with plenty of insider tips on the best snorkel spots and the most thrilling hikes at Volcanoes, not to mention the grooviest restaurants--don't miss the "Catch of the Day" (always ahi sashimi) at Teshima's! They're also excellent cooks and conversationalists, which made breakfast time a treat. And the sunsets! Buy a six pack and a pack of chips and plop yourselves down on the chaise longues for a truly stunning view.

This place is gorgeous. Our Suite was roomy and clean. The main house where we had breakfast and where there is a comon room was very nice. They provide a computer for guests to use so we could check our e-mail and find things on the net. Ken and Erin were fabulous hosts. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with lots of fresh fruit. (I loved the dragonfruit). The view from the pool area was just amazing. It made me want to live there. The location was good, although you really need a car. The drive down from the main road was very windy/curvy and a bit scary. Thankfully it was well paved. The property is well maintained and very clean. We were greeted with some fresh Iced tea when we arrived and Erin gave us a nice overview of the property. The room was very comfortable and the a/c worked well.

I would love to go back there and this place would absolutely be my first choice.
