My wife and I spent three nights at the Teapot Cottage in October 2007. This is a great old cottage that has been lovingly refurbished and decorated by the owners. The cottage has two bedrooms (though the second only has a small twin bed for a child), a large living room, a bathroom, kitchen and storage room with washer & dryer, water cooler, etc. There is a hot tub and lovely garden surrounding the cottage. There is an alarm system that one can choose to use (or not). The cottage is very quiet with virtually no traffic or other noise. The cottage is filled with books, magazines, an HD flat screen TV with loads of DVDs and VHS tapes. It is a very comfortable place to hang out, particularly on a rainy day (it rains frequently in Volcano). The cottage is located a short distance from the general stores and the few restaurants in the small town of Volcano. One of the real highlights is the fantastic breakfast that appears magically every day. The owners stock (stuff) the fridge and counters with fruit, yogurt, bagels, eggs, banana breads, cookies, scones, cereals and lots of other things. Everyday something new is prepared and left for breakfast, making it a little hard to sleep (I love a good breakfast). I strongly recommend this cottage to anyone who spends a day or more in the Volcano area.

Simply one of the most delightful locations on the Big Island. This is the perfect place to come home to after hiking the volcano trails. Every single detail imaginable has been seen to by the owners. The definition of oasis.

The Aloha Spirit is very much alive at the Volcano Teapot even before we arrived. We received information about the Teapot & places to visit in Volcano a few weeks before our stay. It was like starting the vacation early.

The attention to detail was phenomenal. Not one item was forgotten.

The Teapot was a quiet & cozy place to relax & truly enjoy Hawaii. We had a 2 night stay in September & wished it were longer. Our next visit will be longer.

Thank you Bill & Antoinette!!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Teapot during our honeymoon. Guests have the house, hot tub area, and gorgeous grounds all to themselves. I would recommend it to anyone. One thing to know in advance is that breakfast food and drink is left in the kitchen for you and guests are expected to prepare the meal themselves and clean up afterwards. I would also HIGHLY recommend the Thai restaurant in Volcano. I still think about their eggplant dish!

My boyfriend and I booked two incredible nights at the Teapot Cottage, which was the highlight of our two-week trip to Hawaii. We couldn't have been more happier with our stay. We drove up to the cozy cottage during a rainstorm and found tranquility inside. Everything was perfect -- from the gas fireplace to the huge, comfortable bed to the amazing selection of teas in the kitchen to the fresh fruit in the fridge. We felt right at home!

Bill called us shortly after we arrived, just to make sure everything was okay. We spent most of our time relaxing, walking through the bright, vibrant foliage around the cottage, and relaxing by candlelight in the jacuzzi as showers fell in the rain forest around us. Make sure you order food from Thai Thai restaurant, just right down the road. The food was so amazing, we ordered dinner both nights we were there....it's better than any Thai restaurant in NYC....fresh and delicious! We spent each evening watching a movie from the cottage's collection...it was truly a vacation!

During our full day in Volcano, we spent our time driving through Volcanoes National Park, all the way down the Chain of Craters Road. Grab a flashlight from the cottage and explore the Thurston Lava Tube! Amazing! Your park admission is good for six days, so you are able to visit more than once! No flowing lava in sight, but we were still in awe with the scenery.

Before we left, Antoniette came down to visit us. What a sweetheart! She exudes so much warmth (just like the cottage) and friendship, we will certainly return to the Big Island just so we can stay at the Teapot Cottage again.
