We were staying at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club Bay Club time shares across the street from the Hilton Waikoloa Hotel. The Hotel is awsome and worth a visit for sure. While there, we discovered the on-site Seaside Putting Course there and decided to try it. Sounded like a lot of fun at a pretty venue...
First, it is located along the ocean front -- a definite plus. BUT it is a LONG walk to get there. Make sure you get off the tram/boat at the correct "pool".
Good luck trying to call them -- they took over 24 hours to return my call and the message on the phone does not give enough info about times they are open (during most days, and a few of the evenings) nor do they give the price. So we just went over there.
BUT... and a big BUT... it is $15 to play it! That is VERY pricey for what you get. The course is VERY short -- we took less than an hour to play it. We've been at far better 18-hole putting courses here in Bend at a third the price! I'd rather have played miniature golf than this one -- for $15! If you are staying at the hotel, I think it might be included in the $25 per day "activities" package. If so, do play it. But otherwise, it is not worth the $15.
AND... it gets worse... If you are NOTSTAYING at the Hilton or the HGVC properties, you have to pay $3 PER HOUR to park! The golf franchise is separate from Hilton and does not validate parking! Only if you buy $50 worth of food somewhere will they validate the self-parking!!! The other fancy hotels (Mauna Kea, Mauna Lani, Orchid, for example) do not charge you to park and you don't even have to spend money at those. Hilton charges to park even after one spends $30 to play golf and some additional $$ on some drinks! Bummer.
