What a great place. Our room was on the third floor overlooking Bar Harbor, great view. Our room was very large, comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There is a computer in the lobby for guests. There is also continuous bus service to downtown town. Location is right near Acadia National Park. Very cute area for breakfast which was above average. Everything we were looking for!

Our first fall color trip to New England and a great spot to be in October. The hotel offered very clean rooms with views that would take your breath away. Our second floor room also gave us a chance to see the many cruise ships that docked in the bay. The continental breakfast was great with staff constantly replenishing the offerings and cleaning tables. The breakfast room was large and pleasant to sit in and had a view. The location was great; close to town (harbor) and Acadia Park. The restaurants in town were great; we ate nothing but lobster our entire stay. The town can get kind of crowded when two (2) ships offload their passengers at once but it was managable since many took tour busses.

Location is wonderful. Walkable to downtown (but away from the congestion), yet close to acadia park entrance. Had a very nice stay. Breakfast daily...included. What more could you ask for.

Even when making the reservation, my husband was happy with the service at the desk.
What I wanted most was a great view of the Ocean and that is what I got. When we walked into the room, which was a Kitchenette Suite, we had huge double windows and double patio from which we could see the Ocean and Bar Island. We were close to downtown Bar Harbor and could get there in a few minutes driving our car or take the free Shuttle which ran every 30 minutes. We enjoyed eating at resturants on the Pier and on Cottage St. The CAT Ferry to Nova Scotia is only minutes away and we enjoyed that trip.
The room was spotless and the maid service was perfect everyday. Breakfast was absolutely great everyday and the Server there is very helpful in deed. I hated to leave and get back to the real world. Bar Harbor has been "MY" spot since I was a kid. It was wonderful to spend a solid week there and there are still things to see next time.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The view over looking the bay was very nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed in a unit with a small kitchen area. The free morning breakfast offered the usual basics; muffins, bagels, cereal, fruit and pre-made french toast. Nothing gourmet but it was good enough for us.

Shuttle bus to town and the parks stops right at the hotel. We often took the bus into town for evening strolls and shopping. This made the hotel very convenient to the park and to town.

The pool area while not the most convenient to access, given that it is downhill from the hotel, is kept neat and clean. The kids enjoyed it thouroghly, and didn't complain about the walk back up the stairs.

All in all this was a good value for the area, especially if you are not looking for a 5 star experience.
