We went with family twice in September and the month is not even over yet. Ritsu, the owner, creates magic! The evening was filled with mind BLOWing sushi dishes. Sashimi was out of this world, best quality grades of fish straight from Japan.
1) Sashimi Combination - with maguro, hamachi, sake, katsuo, saba, and ama ebi presented with a gorgeous container and mysterious dry ice
2) Maki Rolls:
Dragon (tempura shrimp, cucumber topped with unagi and avocado)
Budda (shrimp tempura, eel, cilantro, mango)
Rainbow (crab, maguro, hamachi, sake, saba, ebi, avocado)
Toshi Koshi (crab, spicy tun, tempura bits, topped with seared abacore, avocado. and wasabi tobiko)
Spider Maki (soft shell crab with masago, shiso, avocado, and sprouts
3) Other noteworthy dishes: Pork belly, chicken wings, steak entree, tartare with nori and tortilla chips
4)Desserts: Bon Bon Beignet and Chocolate Dream
Loved the quality of sushi. Besides the Sashimi Combination, you cannot go wrong with any of the sashimi offered. Each one of them is as fresh as if it was caught the same day. The quality is unsurpassed by any other sushi restaurant in San Francisco.
Each time we go, Ritsu would treat each of us as if we were going to his home. He is not only gifted and talented with his craft, but he is a warm, witty and has great personality! Superb traits which makes a restaurant successful. He just knows how to satisfy his customers!
