ServiceInteruppted check-in clerk at his supper, a fact he very much wanted me to know. No smiles, no welcome. Short answers, no eye contact. Made a remark to a co-worker that he hated it when his tea became diluted (due to having to do his job).
Credit card bill reflected bogus charges not quoted at check-in. Called for explanation. Received rudeness in the extreme. Charges being contested.
Do not stay at this hotel; better to sleep in the car or the ditch.

The motel has a rather forbidding, concrete-block exterior but inside is inviting and cozy, more like staying in a large, older residence than a motel. Staff were very friendlyand helpful. You could walk down to the Historic District in maybe thirty minutes if you felt energetic. The breakfast area was a bit claustrophobic but did offer a special feature of make-your-own-waffles. Light sleepers might want to forego the "mountain view" rooms; unfortunately, these also overlook a mountainside four-lane highway with laboring trucks night and day. Rooms on the parking lot side would be more peaceful.

We have been going to this Comfort Inn for over 10 years- the staff is always very kind and obliging, and recognize us when we arrive. They make our trip extra special. The rooms are always clean, and they are constantly doing things to make the stay nicer- adding refrigerators in the rooms, microwaves...
The little breakfast room is great, with lots of choices. We love coming here, and applaud the staff!!!!!
After spending few days in a Bed & Breadfast house, I checked into the only Comfort Inn in this quiet and picturesque town, located on US RT. 340 & Union Street. The Breadfast was good and plentiful. The rooms were clean and the bed quite comfortable. It also included cool-heat air conditioning and room TV. The keepers were pleasant and courteous. For a small fee you may get transportation to go to the lower town to shop or have dinner. Because this is a small town don't expect to see restorants all over, but the Hill Top House has a decent menu. If you get tired at looking the Potomac and Shanandoah river meeting together, visit Martinsburg town. There you will find lots of attractions and excellent dinning places.
