The owner/operators of this inn are wonderful people who run a first class B & B. The breakfasts are without a doubt the best I've had at any inn. Stacy shops for all the fresh and natural items locally and really knows how to put them together for a unique and delicious experience. I stay there a lot for business, and the location to everything Asheville offers is excellent.
Everything is always spotless and the setting is charming! - - you will not go wrong here!

This was our second stay at Pinecrest (we were not TripAdvisor members when we stayed the first time), and that says a lot about this B&B already since we rarely make it a point to visit the same B&B twice.
Stacy, Janna and Jim are all so friendly and accommodating, it's an easy decision to stay here. They do offer a nice discount for repeat visitors, but that's icing on the cake. Breakfasts are wonderful, hopefully you will get to try the rich waffles - on our last day, there were only four of us so we were able to eat on the screened porch. Stacy served an English-style breakfast, right down to the slice of farmer's market tomato on the plate. You really do feel right at home in beautiful surroundings.
Our favorite room so far is the Wible room - spacious, with sitting area and a very large bathroom with a shower and a separate clawfoot tub. The towels are some of the thickest we've seen featured at a B&B. This room also has a separate entrance if you want privacy coming and going.
There is always a luscious snack in the cake dome, like pound cake or a cookie bar. It's hard to resist in the afternoon in order to save room for dinner.
(One thing to consider, the beautiful heart pine floors in some rooms are polished and can be slippery, so perhaps pack some slippers for walking about at night.)

Had a wonderful time at Pinecrest. Jan, Jim, and Stacy's hospitality was second to none. From the time we made our reservations to check out, they made every effort to make our stay wonderful. I even emailed them the night before we came to town and asked for a dozen roses to be in the room for my wife. No problem, they were there with the exact message on the card, to boot. The house is clean, really clean! the sunroom was perfect for coffee in the morning, small talk and we even watched The Open Championship. The food was great! Especially the spinach quiche and all of the great homeade baked goods that were available throughout the day and night, (chocolate chip cookies, lemon pound cake, and chocolate cake). One thing we did appreciate is the parking is right out in front of the house, so it's easy to access your vehicle. Needless to say, we'll be back!!

Our only regret about staying at the Pinecrest B & B was that we did not have more time. We frequently stay at B & B's as we prefer them to Hotels and certainly to Motels. We also have served as innkeepers when owners are vacationing so we are aware and alert to detail. The atmosphere of Pinecrest is friendly, homey and comfortably social. Attention to detail rates very high. The sheets are ironed and you have to expierience that to appreciate it. Everything from the assistance with local reservations and sites to the mint on the pillow at night with turn-down was superb. The home is convenient to the Biltmore, which is the attraction in Ashville and the location is walkable to downtown. We always appreciate this after a long day in the car. Breakfast was over the top! It was served to all guests at one sitting and was complete from fruit compote to a speciality egg dish. We would strongly recommend Pinecrest to travelers looking for a special B & B experience.
