The best thing above this place, is that its situated above the Irish Embassy Pub, so you can get food and drink of needs be. Everything is in walking distance of this place, Boston Common, Fanuiel Hall etc, so long as you don't mind walking and are with a group of friends, this is the place to go.

When we were there, the keypad to the door was broken, and wasn't fixed, so everyone was a bit anxious about their stuff, 4 of us stayed in a room with another 6 people or so, it was fine. There were some people who were staying in Hostel, all year long who were working in city etc. Met loads of interesting people.

This place no longer exist, however they still take bookings. On arrival you will find it closed down but a sign on the door directing you to another hostel (Beantown) a few doors down where they will have a record of your booking, but strangley enough, not of you deposit.
Beantown hostel provides a bed for the night and nothing else, our sheets were stained with dried blood, the reception was rarely manned, and when it was the staff (other than a pleasant girl) were surly and rude. Turns out the Irish embassy and Beantown are owned by the same person, who I guess is pulling a con. Dont go!
