We visit Boston every summer and stay at a different hotel each time in order to sample as many as possible and to find a "favorite". Based on countless positive reviews we selected Jurys this visit. Although the location was very good and the room satisfactory I was quite disappointed with the stark and generic ambiance. The lobby is cramped, unimpressive and awkwardly located a flight up from the street. This made a poor first impression of which we were reminded each time we arrived at or departed from the hotel. Although my husband waited at the curb for me to check in, no doorman or valet greeted him to ask if he could be of service. The front desk staff was cordial but distant. Nothing about the check-in experience, or the hotel for that matter, felt welcoming. With all the hotel choices available to Boston visitors I'd think twice before selecting Jurys.

Stayed in this hotel in early June but have been a bit negligent in writing a review. I, as always, paid close attention to Tripadvisor reviews. Not let down in any way- a great hotel. Very modern, clean, well kitted out rooms - which I feel were spacious. The hotel is located well and only a couple of blocks from the Common and Newberry Street.

What really made the hotel (as with all hotels) is the staff. They were helpful, professional and treated you as a friend - particular praise to Joanne in reception and Emily in the bar! The bar is a really jumping place which may be the only negative in the eyes of some travellers looking for a quiet place to relax in the evening.

Suited me just fine - going back next week.

We found the staff to be great. We arrived by car in a frazzle due to Boston traffic and street patterns, We were greeted calmly by staff who immediately learned our names and were very helpful. This process carried on through our stay. We would highly recommend the hotel.

Stayed with my wife for 5 nights during a business trip to Boston. The hotel location is great, close to the T and at the heart of Back Bay.

The hotel atmosphere is great and the stuff makes you feel that you return home after a long day. You come to the room and the bed is ready for you, there are 2 bottles of water (free) and a small chocolate.

If you need to work you can do it easily from the hotel, free internet access (wireless at the lobby and wired at room), business center with printer, copying machine and facsimile - all free.

Two things I didn't like:
1) The hotel room is quite small with small desk and 1 sofa.
2) Ordered Pizza from room service and was shocked to see it was tiny (it is our usual dish for late night room dining and in every hotel we were it was quite big pizza, here it was very small.

Bottom line: great hotel to stay with special atmosphere.
