Our excellent knowledgeable guide was also very friendly and took us to places we hadn't visited on two previous trips to boston.
The cycling was easy and the one 'hill' was a breeze on the superb bikes provided.
Highly recommended!!!!!!!!

I booked a tour online for my daughter and I and it turned out to be the highlight of our week in Boston - other than watching a 13 year old kid rassle her first lobster. Andrew, the owner, was our guide, and he is friendly, fun, and very watchful of our group as we rode through the sometimes less than bike friendly streets. If you're thinking of doing this trip, I'd say go for it!
I took Urban AdvenTour's bicycle tour of Boston last June with my daughter and sister and saw a completely new and different side of the city. What a treat! Having lived in Boston years ago I was initially nervous about the traffic and riding a bicycle through all the chaos. So I was very surprised to find that I felt completely safe and never once was concerned about the traffic. Our tour guide, Andrew, gave me a new perspective on a city that I thought I knew well. It really is a terrific way to feel the pulse of the city. I can't wait to go again.
I have lived in Boston for four years and never knew what I was missing until I took an Urban Adventour. I brought my family while they were visiting and we really got a unique perspective on all of Boston's neighborhoods. Plus, it was good exercise! I recommend an UrbanAdventour to anyone visiting or living in Boston.
I just moved to Boston and wanted to get a feel for the city beyond sitting in a tour bus. I found a brochure for Urban AdvenTours, a company that provides guide bike tours of the city, and I decided to give it a try. They offer three tours by bike: a city tour, a photo tour, and an art and architechture tour. I did the city tour. The tour lasted 2 and a half hours and took me and a small group (there were six of us) from Kenmore Square past Fenway Stadium, through gardens, around Back Bay, up to the North End, across the Washington Street Bridge into Charlestown, and through the Esplanade that runs along the Charles River. We stopped along the way and our guide, Andrew, explained to us the history of the city and some of the current issues of Boston. It was very thorough and it felt really good to navigate through the city on a bike. The tour includes a bike to ride, a helmet and a bottle of water. It was very informative and lots of fun! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get a real feeling for the city of Boston.
