As a loyal Marriott Gold Member, I was beyond disappointed by my experience at this hotel. Apart from the fortune cookie (really!?) that contained a few extra points, there was no recognition of my status. No additional benefits at all.
But onto the important stuff..... The front desk staff was okay. The room was baaaad. It was European small. And very old and beat up. There was no luggage rack, so my suitcase had to live on the desk. The bathroom was tiny and the only surface to put toiletries was above the toilet. And it slanted downward, so I had to keep the lid closed to prevent everything from rolling into the toilet. Including hair dryer and curling iron while plugged in- a safety issue in my opinion.
The TV was mounted on the wall an was only visible if you crawled into the armoire to watch it. From the bed - not watchable.
The room also had a very musty smell that couldn't be controlled with air conditioning, since it didn't work all hours of the day.
Also, the walking directions to local eateries can't be trusted. We walked to two breakfast locations that were no longer in business. Time wasted.
Positives: location was okay. Housekeeping was very friendly.
