We enjoyed a brilliant five-night stay at the Distrikt Hotel in March 2014. As many reviewers have commented, the staff here are outstanding and it is great to see them making an effort with each and every guest, when it would be easy to do otherwise in such a busy hotel/location.

The little touches are great - free flavoured water and hot chocolate in reception, a few nibbles in the bar in the evening etc. Considering how small rooms normally are in New York hotels, I though our room at the Distrikt was a really good size, fantastic value and provided us with the perfect base for a lovely holiday!

Staff great!! effient, friendly, well informed and 200% helpfull. Rooms comfortabel but rather small, as always in NYC. Clean and nice bathroom, excellent bed.
Breakfastbuffet ok at $13. Coffee and drinks (water, ice tea) offered in lobby all day.
Centrally located near TS, subway, restaurants, ...
Affordable midtown hotel. At this time heavy construction next to hotel.

Room tip: High floor, backside (Hudson view and quiet)

Despite the staff appearing to be from New York & knowing the city very well, they are the absolute antithesis of New York service. They're friendly, professional, courteous, fund, engaging...... I simply can't express enough how good they are & how much they add to the overall value of this hotel. Many a half decent hotel would do well to learn from these guys!
The location of the hotel is okay for midtown. The rooms are excellent, especially for a small NYC boutique hotel. They're modern, comfortable & also very functional. Even the Wi-Fi is fast & works well.
All in all it's great & I'd recommend it.

Room tip: The higher the floor the better & some offer nice views.

Great New York City Hotel but everything felt crammed from the lobby to the elevator to the room. I know there is not a lot of free space in New York but for the price I am paying for the room I was expecting a bit more. Try to find special rates for this hotel to make it worth the stay.

Room tip: I would recommend a room with some kind of view of the city... That could make or break staying at a small hotel like this!

We stayed for 2 nights the staff was very friendly, the hotel is clean and well taken care of, the bed was very comfortable, Nice big walk in shower with plenty of hot water and very clean. The location was great right near Times square. I would defiantly stay there again and would highly recommend The Distrikt .. I'll be going back
