We like to stay at the Ritz Carlton hotels and stayed here at our most recent vacation. We checked in Saturday, November 8 through Wednesday, November 12. We booked through American Express Platinum Travel. We arrived at La Guardia airport and took a taxi to the hotel. The rates to be picked up in a private car via the hotel were very expensive - $260 and up, so we decided to take a taxi from the airport, about $60. There was a lot of traffic. The ride was about 40 minutes.
As soon as we arrived to the hotel, the bellmen took our strollers and bags right away and we headed to check in. While I was there, a gentleman came out with a wagon full of toys so that our 2 kids could pick out from. That was very nice. I love how the Ritz always puts a smile on my kids and us too :) We then headed to our room. We had requested a park view and did get it. The view was perfect! We were on the 8th floor. Enough to see the horse carriages down below and also the park as well as the buildings near us. Our room was the perfect size. It was clean and we were very content overall. Although it's loud outside with all the traffic and the echoing of sirens when they went by, it was pretty quiet overall. We had breakfast in the restaurant. The cinnamon buttermilk pancakes were so GOOD! Everything we ate was delicious. When we called down for room service or anything we needed, it was delivered quickly. The doormen and other workers called my kids by their first names. Hands down the best customer service. This hotel is located across the street from central park. We could cross the street and be in central park. We were about 10-20 minute walking distance from almost everything. We loved it and will be back!

Room tip: ask for a high floor to be able to see the city/ central park

This is the most amazing hotel! From the moment we arrived the staff was so friendly and accommodating that we will never stay at any other hotel while in NYC. This was a girl trip for my daughter's 14th birthday - she received a tray of brownies and a small gift from the hotel - which was such a wonderful surprise for her! The Concierge staff was so helpful but George and Sumi were the best! They were quick to assist us and to make suggestions for dinner. GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

Firstly I want to say a huge thank you on behalf of myself and my family for a wonderful stay. We felt spoiled and cared for and we could not be happier! Your whole team went out of their way to provide us every courtesy and service. My daughter will not forget the special Lion King CD or the wonderful cookies and my wife and I truly appreciated the upgrade to a suite and all the special touches we experienced. The restaurant recommendation from the Concierge to Telepan and the securing of a table at short notice was genius. Due to the Marathon we were also provided a Sedan to the airport and a driver who knew where to go and that saved us the hassle and stress associated with trying to navigate transport in the city that was largely shut down. The list can go on.

I will not hesitate to recommend you again and again. Please thank your whole team on our behalf. The service and warmth of your team is what sets this hotel apart.

Room tip: We were on the 21st floor and the location was perfect. A corner window with views of the park and high enough to see out and get a sense of space.

Right in the centre of Manhattan this is a wonderfully charming hotel with wooden panelled lifts and lounge area. The staff are so helpful and courteous, nothing seems too much. The rooms are average in size, but well appointed with elements of old world style. It does not feel like a large chain and verges on the boutique. We were really impressed.

What a charming and elegant hotel. It's small but so beautiful and comfortable. The staff is very professional. I loved being on the Park. Yes, it's pricey, but this is New York. If you want to be pampered and relaxed, go here.
