Qi is a nice departure from all the touristy chains you’ll find in Times Square. As others have said, the décor is great- all kinds of white and clear plastic. I saw pictures of the place before we went, but my friends that went in blind were totally amazed by the atmosphere. Check out the men’s bathroom- there is a huge hologram in the mirror.
The food is very good as well. One person in the group was a self-professed Thai food hater, but he was instantly converted by their Spicy Basil Noodle. He said it was the best dish he had in NYC. The basil fried rice is tasty as well. The triple mushroom spring rolls were a unique item as most other Thai restaurants serve the same cabbage spring roll. Presentation of the dishes was fantastic.
Added bonus- the dinner entrees were right at $10. What a steal for a touristy area. I’d give the food 4 stars, with décor and prices being 5 stars.
