My wife and I travel often for leisure to NYC. We came across this hotel on booking.com and decided to book it as it was a brand new hotel in a great location and initially seemed to be appealing.. We checked in on a Saturday and the front desk could not be more clueless. It took us 25 minutes to check in because they did not have a room ready even though it was 4pm. We finally went into our room, we were shocked to notice how small it was and not even with a closet space. We called the reception and phone kept on ringing and ringing. Finally, we went to the front desk and asked if there was a room with a closet. The woman was rude and said that they were completely sold out. We had a horrible night and could not even sleep properly. The next day, we asked the reception again if there was a larger room with a closet and they were adamant about not moving us. We returned to our room around 5pm and our room was not even made up. Also the AC was not working properly. We had just given up. On Monday when we checked out, we asked to speak to the manager, a gentlemen by the name of Mr. Jose(forget the last name). He was unavailable. I left my contact details and till this day I have not been contacted.
In summary, this was my wife's and my worst stay ever. I highly discourage anyone from booking this hotel as it ruined our getaway in NYC. It is just not worth it. There is a wide selection of hotels in downtown, which I am sure we would have received far better service.
