We stayed here for a week in September 2014. It was a perfect combination of reasonable price (by New York standards!), good location, comfortable room, and friendly, helpful service. It's on W30th street, just off 7th Avenue, so it's relatively quiet, compared to the hustle of the Avenue hotels, but perfectly located for Penn Station and/or Herald Square for subway stations to get all round the city; from battery Park, Coney Island, JFK airport, the Bronx, or even a trip out to Pennsylvania or Washington DC.

Staff are always courteous, helpful and knowledgable. Nothing seems to be too much trouble.

The hotel only does breakfast, but that's not really a problem in NYC.

It has a guest laundry, which we found very useful during a week-long stay.

Would definitely recommend it.

Can't believe anyone could write a negative review about this property. It's obviously new and tastefully designed with probably the best bed I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. Whilst the room is not the biggest , it is New York after all, it is a nice size and a perfect size bathroom with huge walk in shower. The hotel is perfectly situated on 30th Street directly across from New York's finest at the 23rd Precinct. It is also very close to Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. We walked with our cases to Penn Station on our return to Newark Airport, only took 5 mins. Train from there costs 12.50 dollars. Some great shopping only a few minutes walk away on the main avenues. If I was returning to NYC I would definitely return to this hotel. To conclude, a special mention for the staff, so friendly at all times. Perfect example was when we arrived from our cruise about 1100 am not expecting access to a room at this time but just to leave our cases. Pleasantly surprised when we were given access to our room as one was available at this time.

Great service, good sized room by NYC standards. Lovely bathroom with an awesome shower. I was traveling alone so the location right across from the police station was a huge surprise bonus! I had room 314 facing the street. The window opened which was nice and when closed, I could not hear ANY street noise whatsoever. Amazing. Comfortable bed with nice linens. Great location. I see no reason to stay anywhere else the next time I visit. The front desk and bell staff were super accommodating. Loved this place!

I love this type of hotel: new or renovated, clean, location, rooms that are well designed, comfortable beds and bedding, coffee, safe, free wifi, access to breakfast and Starbucks coffee, guest laundry, nice gym, comfortable social area and most importantly, windows that open. My only recommendation is for the hotel to put more hooks to hang towels and a shelf for the guests' personal products in the bathroom.

This hotel is at 30th and 7th across the street from a a Police Department and in the centre of several cheap Chinese-made purse stores. Nice salad place on the corner and access to Penn station and subway systems within a 5 minute walk.

Hotel also has cars for airport transport - JFK was $69 including tolls & tax. A bit high in cost but easy. Penn Station is only a block away. You can use the LRIR for about $10 and only 30 minutes guaranteed in case of snow or traffic delays.

Check out Macy's - 3 short blocks away to shopping bliss.

We had a triple room in this well located hotel in Manhattan, close to Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, underground stations. Rooms are small, in line with Manhattan standards; rooms are clean and beds quite confortable. Breakfast eventually available at the ground floor but not satisfactory. Personnel not particularly kind and polite. The only plus of the hotel is that it's new and it's in a strategic position to visit Manhattan. Room rates quite expensive but not excessive for NYC.

Many thanks for your recent stay with us at our new hotel in the center of NYC, I am delighted that you felt that the location was excellent and made getting around the city sights easy. Indeed we are very centrally located close to all the major subway lines and Penn Station is only 3 blocks away. I was a little saddened that you felt that one of our employees did not give excellent service, I will be sure to address that. As you will have read from the numerous wonderful reviews here on Trip Advisor, this is not typical of the great service our team provides every day. A business would greatly appreciate this information during a guests stay so that we can address it right there and then so that you have a memorable stay for all the right reasons. Gary - Assistant General Manager.
