Decided to stay at this hotel after reading the reviews here at Trip Advisor. Female desk manager was friendly and very helpful. I booked a suite room and had planned a quiet and restful night after a full day of traveling. Room was clean and quite large, with fridge, large desk, and sofa. Price didn't seem too out of line for the area. Breakfast area was clean and there was a decent selection for breakfast. There is also a McDonalds, quickie marts and a truck stop within walking distance for food and drinks. But there were problems, I swear the walls in this hotel are wafer thin. As I settled in for the evening to watch some television I could hear my next door neighbors voices through the walls, not loud but annoying. Then the door slamming started. Must have been two or three rooms near mine, well into the night, doors slammed people talking loudly outside their rooms, etc. The sound/noise level just made the experience at this hotel downright miserable. La Quinta e-mailed me a number of days later and wanted my opinion of my stay and I informed them of the noise issues. I was quite suprised to get an e-mail sent to me from the hotel manager who mentioned that a baseball tournament was in town and that she had received complaints of the noise and informed these folks that they would no longer be allowed at the hotel. She was nice enough to only charge my credit card half because of my unhappiness. So two thumbs to the staff and this is the only reason why I did not give this hotel a one out of five rating. If you want a quiet night I'd say go elsewhere.
