I've been to the Century Bar twice. The first time I went I was somewhat unimpressed. Arrived early on a Thursday and was the only person in the place. I was barely greeted by the bartender. I asked him to make me a unique Bourbon cocktail and was promptly served an Old Fashioned. Not sure what is unique about an Old Fashioned since it's one of the most recognizable whiskey cocktails but that's what I got. So, perhaps don't expect much originality here.
My second experience was better. Friendly bartender, competent service, and a respectable Manhattan that was small for the price I paid but well poured.
I would meet someone here if they insisted on going but wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.
As a note, they do have a respectable Bourbon selection but, also as a note for those from out of town, don't expect anything especially unique. The State of Ohio controls brand distribution so whatever the Century Bar has access to is the same product that every other bar in Ohio has access to as well.
