My husband and I stayed 1 night at the Cannery Pier at the end of June and loved it!!! We got an early check-in on the 4th floor - opened the door and said WOW! The bathroom has small french doors that you enter in, the toilet in a separate area (with a phone next to it), 2 mirrors with great lighting. - 1 mirror was over the sink and another with a vanity area and bench to sit on if you'd like. The stand up shower was great with one of those extra large shower heads. The claw foot tub was wonderful and huge- all looking over the Columbia River. They also offer the hotel sized Crabtree and Evelyn products- shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash. The floor was tile and we enjoyed the bath robes as well. You go outside of the bathroom and there is a bar area with a sink, coffee maker and underneath, a small fridge and microwave. The T.V. area has 2 huge deep drawers and an area to hang up clothes. There was a table and chairs right next to the gas fire place, king sized bed that was VERY comfortable, couch and table and a padded seating area over looking the river with Bushnell (sp?) binoculars. All rooms are river front and we enjoyed the small deck off of the room! They had great color combinations and black out roman shades on all of the windows. We very much enjoyed the wine reception that evening. (It was from 5-6 pm unlike the internet saying 5- 7 pm). Regardless, they served complimentary red and white wine, salmon lox on bread with butter and pepperjack cheese squares and crackers.- All very good!!! On the second floor they have complimentary internet access which is great, a T.V. area and wonderful fishing pictures to look out throughout the whole hotel. The next morning my husband went in the hot tub and we both went in the sauna- all giving a side view to the river. My only minor complaints would be I got the last towel for the sauna and the water jug was empty which would have been nice for anyone getting out of the sauna, spa or working out. Although I did not use the gym, it had 3 cardio machines some hand weights and an exercise ball and T.V. as I recall. The spa area was nice and looked relaxing, but unfortunately this time we didn't get a chance to use. We then enjoyed the continental breakfast which consisted of this: coffee, cardomon (sp?) bread, bagels and cream cheese, yogurt, cold cereals, granola bars, make your own belgian waffles, and fresh fruit including raspberries, strawberries, cantaloupe and watermelon. The breakfast was from 6-9am. They also had 4 bicycles you could use and there is a wonderful paved river walk right outside the hotel. I thought this was a great idea!!! We will definately go back and stay again and plan to get our parents gift certificates there as well!!!
