My husband and I stopped here on a Monday afternoon on our way out of Astoria on Nov 19, by recommendation from my aunt.
First impression was good - nice atmosphere, great view, and it was fairly empty. Waitress was there promptly and was available and courteous throughout our visit.
We ordered a bowl of clam chowder, chicken wings, and the combo fish & chips.
The chowder was really good and creamy - the way I expect clam chowder to be. Thumbs up!
The wings came with the hot sauce on the side, which we didn't expect, but would have been fine. The menu said it came with blue cheese, but we got ranch instead. So we asked for blue cheese. She brought blue cheese that was barely above the consistancy of water. We didn't eat very many wings.
The combo fish and chips rocked! It comes with halibut, tuna, and salmon fish. I'd never had salmon fish & chips before, and I really really liked it. The fries were good, but the fries that came with the wings were better!
We also had beer and a strawberry lemonade. Each very good. We love local breweries (also love the Pelican in Pacific City) and Wet Dog really owned up. We even bought a jug of Volksweissen to take home, so we enjoyed it all over again.

Overall things were good and we had a good time. We just will not order the wings again. But we will come back! I'd like to order dessert next time - they sounded amazing!

My husband and I ate dinner here. We went early so we did not have a problem getting a seat by the window so we could look out and see the river. Our waitress was very nice. My husband enjoyed his dinner. I ordered clam chowder. It came just lukewarm. It took a while but our waitress finally came back and took my soup to be heated. It was much warmer. As far as clam chowders go I would never order this one again. I husband tasted it also and said the same thing. Besides the disappointment in the soup the rest of the food was great. So If you want a view for dinner and not a very expensive place then I would certainly give this place a try.

This place is amazing! I brought my whole family here. My husband loved his ENORMOUS burger and had a few of the microbrews that are made onsite. My daughter and son loved their kidpack full of toys, cookies and crayons. Great way to keep them occupied! Plus their food came in little dog bowls. How clever! My mother said that she had the best Reuben in her life (she's 97!) My father got the Alakan Halibut fish and chips and said it tasted like he had just caught it and made it himself (he is a retired fisherman). And lastly, I had a terrific glass of Dog Tail Merlot and ate the best clam chowder and homemade bread. I drool just thinking about it. Then there was dessert! They make their own cheesecake! i had the pumpkin, kids shared the blueberry and my husband had the milk chocolate chip. OHMYGOD!!!!! Heaven in your mouth! My folks split the marionberry cobbler and begged the owners for the recipe (and got it!) The view is perfect, the service impeccable. I wish that I lived in Astoria so that I could go there more often. We will be back!!!!!!!!!

July 2 2007, Arrived at 12:30 pm for lunch. After 15 minutes waiter took order, 64 ounce jug of beer, french dip with fries, Reuben with no sauerkraut and fries. Then 101 excuses started coming. The bar is backed up, could we have some water then. 25 minutes later the food comes out, no water, no beer. Ask for water and ketchup, the waiter leaves. Sauerkraut on Reuben. Waiter came back with water, now he had broken the handle on the jug and the beer has to be re-poured. Told him about the sauerkraut and asked again for ketchup and more water. Finally brings beer. 20 minuets later brings new Reuben and ketchup. I was already done with french dip. Ask to speak to manager. Says the bar was backed, the system crashed, the kitchen got backed up. left at 2:30 pm. Waiter was a real dough head, liked he just smoked a bowl. Manager gave us free beer for the bad service and about 3 other tables nearby. I will never go back.
