My husband and I stayed at the Blue Door for my birthday weekend. We picked it for the reasonable price and central location. It exceeded our expectations because of the graciousness of the hosts, Roger and Cecelia. The place was spotlessly clean. The bed was one of the most comfy I have ever landed on. We used the inviting huge tub several times. Roger's breakfasts were delicious, and Cecelia's rooftop yoga class was awesome. Megan the cat is one of the most beautiful felines you will ever see.
The Blue Door is three blocks from Patterson Park, and fairly close (definitely walkable) to Fell's Point and Canton. It's not on the busiest street. However, if you're not used to a little bustle outside your window, you might prefer a back room. My husband and I are city folk, so we're used to hearing some street noise at night - it was not a problem for us. We found parking right in front of the inn every time.
The decor is a mix of traditional and contemporary furniture, in a big old lovingly restored townhouse. This isn't one of those doily and flowers B and B's. Good price, good location, and the best part - Roger and Cecelia's professionalism, pride, and attention to details.
