I was traveling solo to Union Memorial Hospital for foot surgery. I was unfamiliar with the area and looking for a hotel close by and with reasonable rates. There is a slight discount for Union Memorial Hospital patients, as cited on their website. I was told that the rate included taxes and at checkout was told something else, so that was a little disappointing to me.
My room did not have a closet, but I had packed very light, so this was not an issue to me. The room had some charm, although a bit small and furnished with very large pieces of furniture. Crown moldings on the ceiling, low noise air conditioning.
There was some people on my floor who could get quite noisy, "hanging out" in the halls. A bit distracting, but thankfully didn't go on for much longer than 20 minute intervals. The staff was nice enough to send complimentary breakfast to my room, given I was on crutches. Very much appreciated. The breakfast was very low key - pastries, bagel, packaged oatmeal.
I think it was a decent place with some charm. I found my room to be clean. It was important to me to be very close to the hospital, but were I returning to the Baltimore area again, I might try a different place.
