This place is not a Five Star Hotel. When we arrived we had to wait fifteen minutes before anyone checked us in, and it wasnt because alot of people were checking in, the guy was on the phone with a personal phone call. After we finally checked in, the gentleman forgot to explain that we needed our key cards to get to the third floor, there is a sign in the elevator but its small and easily missed, well we ended up having to ask and the gentleman made us feel very stupid like we should have seen that. Our rooms were ok, but not five star material, the free breakfast wasnt very good either, the only thing i would suggest this place for was location, its really close to power plant live, but i wouldnt pay for this place again.

Web site noted room service. None at all.

Upon arrival, advised check in within 1/2 hour, due to cleaning.
4 hours later (luggage could not be checked in-so we had to remain in lobby and and hold) advised room finally cleaned and ready. We noted many later arrivals who were checked in.

For a 4 hour cleaning this room, it had a dirty tub (looked like animal hairs) dirty sink and the smell in main room was undescribable.

Air conditioning did not work. Account Access was not available (site kept showing available later).

Extremely disappointed/put a damper on whole trip.

“Don't stay here”

Pier 5 Hotel

25 Jul 2008

I chose this hotel because it was next to the hotel my conference was at. The only good thing I can say is that the staff was nice and the bedding was clean. On the bad side, the walls are thin, music is playing loudly outside on a veranda (past 11pm), overall furniture & carpeting is old/stained and there are several areas under construction/remodel. They also have the loudest airconditioning unit I have ever experienced. This hotel is nowhere near classy enough to call itself a boutique hotel. No "harbor magic" felt here.

Such a lovely hotel. I don't go to Baltimore much but when I do I try my hardest to stay in or around the Inner Harbor - what better than ON the Pier?? This hotel was amazing, it's like you're floating! The staff is great - the inside decor almost looks like you're on a cruise ship. It offers all sorts of activities like ghost tours and crab eating too if you're looking for adventure or with family/children - very interactive and accomadating.

I was in town for my brothers graduation and he ended up loving the hotel so much that he left his apartment and came to stay with us for the weekend! That's a deal-breaker for me right there. Found an awesome rate on Quikbook.com and plan to visit the Pier 5 each time I return to Baltimore.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Pier 5 Hotel. We booked through Priceline for $90 a night and felt it was well worth the price. The location was excellent - right on the Inner Harbor and close to the Baltimore Aquarium, Camden Yards, and the local areas of interest (Little Italy, Fells Point). The room was nice and quiet.

They even had a complimentary 'crabby hour' each night where a snack was made and wine/beer was provided.

My only complaint was the $9.95 activity fee that was charged for each night stayed. I wasn't aware of the fee before we checked in.

Overall great stay.
