I did not initially plan on staying in Baltimore on business and booked the best price I could find in downtown.
The six year old Baltimore Marriott Waterfront has had some recent room renovations, since the Four Seasons and Hilton are building new hotels next door.
Service is usually the thing that makes or breaks most of my hotel and dining experiences. The front desk, concierge, bellman and room service were superior. The hotel public areas were beautifully appointed, clean and fully staffed.
During the business day, the hotel staff treated my wife with professional and friendly service. The concierge offered excellent assistance. The hotel swimming pool, fitness center and free use of the nearby MAC fitness club was wonderful.
The 28th - 32th floor rooms (seperate elevator) are the most newly renovated. Our 29th floor king bed room had marble topped sinks, a bed so comfortable that you did not want to get up, 32" flat screen TV, the most complete business center desk that I have ever used, and a sitting area with view of the East Inner Harbor.
Fantastic first class experience. This is the only place I will stay in Baltimore. Goodbye to the worn Inner Harbor hotels.
