“Consistent quality from people who care”

Hampton Inn Baltimore / White Marsh

My family has stayed here numerous times while visiting me at Johns Hopkins over the past four years (I sleep over as well as I never pass up a stay at this hotel!) White Marsh is about a 20 minute drive to downtown Baltimore, but an easy one that is very accessible from all points of travel. The hotel is located across from a huge conglomeration of shops and malls- it has your typical mall with Macy's, etc., as well as a street known as "The Avenue" with various boutiques and eateries. Numerous restaurants and establishments (Bertuccis, Ballys Gym, Red Lobster) are scattered around the outskirts. A large Ikea is right there and Target and Wal-Mart as well. If you need something, from craft supplies to a fancy dress, you can find it right next door. The hotel even has a trolley (or shuttle van for larger groups) that will drive you to The Avenue whenever you want- and pick you up! Even though it's right across the street, it's nice to not worry about parking and to have the ability to all kick back and enjoy a cocktail or two!

The hotel managers are great- even better are the women who serve up fabulous free (hot!) breakfasts every morning. There are the standard cereals and pastries and yogurts, but they have great build- your- own biscuits with eggs, sausage, and bacon which are perfect for filling up before a long day of traveling. If you are leaving early or can't make breakfast, the staff is more than happy to make a bag breakfast for you. On top of this, every evening they have warm gooey chocolate chip cookies available as well as coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The lobby/dining area is ample with a good television and they have a wonderful internet room where you can use the computer, printer, and various office supplies for FREE! Such a handy tool if you're traveling without your laptop.

The rooms have the most gorgeous and plush white comforters and different thickness pillows (all labeled). The facility also has a very small workout room (try the free entry offered with your room to Ballys Fitness instead which is right next door!) There is also a small pool out back (only caveat- the beautiful trees sheltering the water have crazy fabric eating sap, so watch out!)

My family never hesitates when deciding where to stay when coming up for a visit. The Hampton Inn at White Marsh is a no- brainer for people who want a hassle- free stay- be it a night stop on a long journey or a prolonged visit to the Baltimore region. On your way out, be sure to read the guest book in the lobby which displays countless letters of gratitude from past visitors.

We stayed here on a return trip from North Carolina. We found the staff to be warm and welcoming. Our room was ready, even though we arrived before 3PM, a definite plus!!
The room was comfortable, large, and exceptionally clean. Although this is not a brand new hotel, it is extremely well maintained. The breakfast area is large, and there is a good variety of food available. It is better than your average continental breakfast.
The hotel is easily accessible from I-95 and is surrounded by a mall and lots of restaurants to choose from.
We would not hesitate to return there again.

My sons and I stayed here this past Saturday night after an Orioles game; it is convenient to get to, about a 15-20 minute drive from the Inner Harbor and 2 minutes off the White Marsh exit. The hotel is located near the White Marsh mall, with lots of stores and restaurants. The Hilton Garden Inn is also next door. The Hampton Inn is a four story, modern hotel with a small outdoor pool and very small fitness center (1 treadmill and 2 bikes). Complimentary access to the Bally FItness Center next door was offered though. The rooms were clean, as were the bathrooms, and the beds and linens seemed new. The beds were very comfortable, with a pull out sofa in the room as well. The air conditioner was slightly noisy, as was highway I-95 nearby, but not unbearable. (A room facing the front might be a bit quieter). The carpet in the hallways looked a little worn, but the hotel generally appears well maintained. A business center with access to fax and computer is just off the lobby, and the free breakfast was impressive (hot eggs and sausage, donuts, bagels, muffins, cereal, yogurt, juices, etc.) With reasonable room rates, the Hampton can be recommended for a Baltimore stay to avoid the often overpriced and undermaintained downtown hotels.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn at White Marsh for 17 days on business. I have never been treated so well by the staff at any hotel and I stay at a lot of them. The front desk staff was great, the morning breakfast girls were great. That would be Miss May, Tammy and Cathy. Just tell them what you like and they will have it waiting for you. If you miss the managers reception on Wed. nights tell the front desk staff and they will save something for you. That is every Wed. night, free food, beer, soda.

Also if you need to do laundry they have a washer and dryer there for guests to use at NO CHARGE and they even give you the soap and bounce to use FREE.

The place is clean and very home friendly. They have an office space set up for you to use also.

I will definitely stay here again.

My family just spent the weekend at this Hampton Inn and it was great. Nice and clean and comfy with a tasty free breakfast each day. The TV in the lobby was perfect for watching the game we didn't have tickets to, in the big comfy sofas. Coffee is available in the lobby at all times which was appreciated. Within walking distance is a nice shopping and dining area which is also accessable by free trolley provided by the hotel. On game day it was a very quick and easy drive right into the inner harbor. After the game at Camden Yards, we skipped the busy restaurants right outside the ballpark and opted to head back to the Hampton Inn to relax and have a nice dinner in the Bayou Cafe right across the street. Easy access to the highway and plenty of free parking, free breakfast, and great nightly rate make this my first choice of places to stay in the Baltimore area.
