When Blue Agave first opened near Cross Street Market it was "the"' mexican restaurant in town...you couldn't get in. Boy has this place gone to the dogs. We just had one of the worst and highest price meals in the 35 years we have been eating out in B'more. My wife ordered a chardonnay without consulting the wine list...she got something that tasted like jug wine for 10 bucks. I ordered the "special", grilled talapia with crab meat for $25. It was dry, tasteless and overcooked. If you want good Mexican food in B'more you are better off at Nacho Mammas, in Canton, Loco Hombre in Roland park or the place in Hamden on the Avenue whose name escapes me at the momemnt. Also I understand there are some great new latin restaurants opening up on Broadway in Fells Pt. a couple blocks north of the market.
