DECEIVED. The Marriott Waterfront website describes this restaurant as: "A stunning waterfront restaurant that features American cuisine. The seasonal menu offers fresh, local ingredients & celebrates Baltimore`s rich culinary tradition. The photos give the impression of an elegant, classy restaurant. See for yourself http://marriottmodules.com/baltimore_waterfront_marriott/grille_700/. I researched elegant brunch places in Baltimore for a couple of weeks to celebrate my mother-in-law's b-day. This place was a total fiasco. The brunch was the kind you'd get for free at a Best Western--but pricy. As you walk in, there is a "airport-style" convenience store selling candy and beverages. The "Grille 700" is just an old, plain cafeteria. The tables don't have tablecloths. The window view was a joke: it was facing water allright, by some cement pier, without a view of the harbor. The service and the food was "cafeteria-style." The place was pathetic and the online advertising (including user reviews I saw online from various sources) was totally deceptive. I'm calling the manager to make an official complaint. Go to any place in Bethesda or DC. Forget about brunch if you can't find brunch!!!
