I wanted to take my girlfriend away for a nice weekend and thought the Gramercy offered just the right amount of romance along with some great perks like the olympic sized pool they talk about on their website.

We got there on Friday night and because it was late, we went out for a nice dinner and then took a walk around the grounds. The gounds are very beautiful with alot of trails for hiking.

Our breakfast was very good and the entire stay would have been perfect if we could have enjoyed the pool area. All day on Saturday, there was a bunch of young kids diving into the water, yelling and screaming. We tried to overlook the noise and enjoy the water since it was very hot outside but it was impossible because the kids kept splashing and being very obnoxious. It was like trying to swim at DisneyLand! Not very romantic or enjoyable.

Luckily, our room was very nice so we ended up spending the afternoon watching movies - too hot for anything else.

Our stay was a bit disappointing and we probably wouldn't stay there again during the summer months.

My husband and I stayed there last week and the staff was very accommodating. When we arrived they upgraded us to the Tudor Room. The Tudor room had its own patio with french doors that looked out into the gardens. We sat out there and enjoyed our wine that was complimentary. Everything was there ,that we needed. There were extra pillows and blankets and beach towels for the pool. The pool was great for how warm it was.There was an amazing number of butterflys out there. We went out to dinner and we had ordered the romance package. When we came back our room was candlelit with rose petals all over. Its was so beautiful.Anyways , the next morning we had breakfast on the outside patio. They use alot of the herbs from there organic farm. The eggs benedict was great and my husband loved the banana pancakes.What a great getaway!!!

I have been a regular visitor to Gramercy for years and have had the most wonderful mini-vacations of my life. Hiking through the woods, waundering the beautiful gardens or reading in one of their living rooms gives me a much needed re-charge for the week ahead. I literally dream of the peaceful nights soaking in a jacuzzi enjoying a glass of wine (free).
What a fabulous establishment, I have heard they have a new place downtown (1840's//Carroll Mansion) ....I cant wait to check it out!

My husband and I were experiencing high levels of stress at our work and needed desperately to get away for a peaceful and quiet weekend. We choose the Gramercy because we knew the weather was going to be very hot and humid and they have a lovely in the ground pool surrounded by trees and flowers - the perfect place to relax and cool off. We arrived on a Friday evening and couldn't wait to take a dip in the pool. We weren't there more than 15 minutes when 3 young children crashed through the gate and proceeded to jump into the water not more than two feet from where we sat. A woman, who we assumed was their mother, sat idly by while the children screamed, yelled and cried, splashed and dove in and out of the water. Eventually we left and complained to the woman at the front desk. She apologized and said she would mention it to them when they came in. On Saturday, we enjoyed several hours at the pool undisturbed, thinking our problem had been solved. There was alot of activity preparing for an evening wedding reception but nothing that interfered with our activity.

On Sunday there were alot of guests in the pool before noon but most of them checked out that day. We were just getting into the water when we experienced an exact repeat of Friday evening. So much for enjoying any pool time on Sunday and unfortunately, our room overlooked the pool so we had to listen to the yelling and screaming as we tried to read.

Upon check out we mentioned it directly to the owner who we found was also the owner of the loud children! Her only response was that the pool is for the people who live at the house as well as for guests. No apology was given and obviously no change will be made in the future regarding the children.
