Three months ago I decided to trash the big wedding and go for 12 people in a garden. I chose wisely by having it at Gramercy. The staff handled every detail completely and thoroughly resulting in a one-of-a-kind wedding. In grounds that beautiful, it is impossible not to enjoy yourself!
On top of that, the Hunt Room was beautiful and comfortable-- not frilly and fussy, but elegant and relaxing. After a delicious dinner at The Milton Inn (WOW! A must do!), my husband and I returned for a quiet night to our "romanticized" room (roses and candles galore!). There was a large wedding going on downstairs, but neither of us would have known it and slept wonderfully (and I am a very light sleeper!). The breakfast was delicious and the grounds are beautiful to wander.
Gramercy reminds me of visiting a very old relatives home--filled to the brim with oddities and surprises around every corner. We can't wait to come back next year for our anniversary--I have the inkling we will be back for a visit much sooner!
