We just returned from a week in Baltimore and had decided to stay at this hotel after reading all the reviews posted here about it. My husband was attending a conference at the Convention Center and had been given several other hotels as choices but their prices were consistently well over $200+. Though there are a few very negative reviews here overall what we read convinced us to try it and we're glad we did. It is very easy to get to, located several blocks from the Inner Harbor bordering on the west side but the area was fine. My young daughter & I walked everywhere during the daytime from this location and never had a problem. The hotel staff were all pleasant, check-in/out was smooth and our room was very clean. We particularly enjoyed Dottie's Cafe located next to the lobby as it was cheerful and offered coffees/lattes, etc as well as fresh salads, fruit and sandwiches in containers ready to take to your room if desired. We ate a couple of times in the hotel restaurant, nothing super special but decent and varied food choices. Our 11 year-old ate from the children's menu for free. Probably the only thing that bothered me was that a couple of the seats were very worn and one was even torn in several places. The fitness area was really nice, clean, a good number of exercise equipment. We heard the pool was the largest in the downtown hotel area; it had a lap pool, sauna, etc. Unfortunately we were so busy being out and about that we never did use it!
