I booked this hotel based on a deal I saw advertised on some online travel site, and was not sure how it would be; but figured the price, plus free breakfast, and the location couldn't be beat.
To my pleasant surprise, the hotel was great. By far the nicest Holiday Inn I've ever been in. Its been some years since I stayed in one, but this one has clearly been recently renovated. The rooms were good size, nice decor and comfy. Staff was nice and courteous, and there's a full service bar and restaurant in the lobby that wasn't bad. Given, we only had breakfast, but it was pretty good. My husband and I definitely enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend it to anyone.
If you're a looking for a luxurious hotel stay, clearly (any) Holiday Inn isn't it, but if you want some place convenient , nice, clean and friendly in B-more, I'd highly recommend it.

“Terrible hotel”

Holiday Inn Baltimore - Inner Harbor

The bellman was a total pro.

That was our first and last good experience at this hotel. Check-in lady was rude - hotel was dingy. Leftover glasses and room service trays were strewn all over the hallway. Room made me feel a little paranoid and itchy although I don't seem to have any bites. The toilet was backed up when we got there. Someone came to fix it - it was backed up again an hour later and stayed mostly broken the whole time despite attempts. Housekeeping came first thing in the morning and unlocked the door even though there was a do not disturb sign on the door. They messed up our check-out time. Our room keys were deactivated as a result.

At least I had the sense not to eat there...

“Highly recommend the Holiday Inn, Inner Harbor!”

Holiday Inn Baltimore - Inner Harbor

My husband and I got a great deal on this hotel through Hotwire. It had adjacent parking for 18$, a small pool with sauna, a fitness center, and a nice lobby. The check in was speedy and the staff was amazing. Everyone was friendly.

The area surrounding the hotel is fine. It's a short walk to the Inner Harbor stuff (like restaurants and the shopping). We wished we would have had time to take the water taxi over to Fells Point.

Our room was very clean and quiet. We were nervous about that because we were next to the elevators (you could touch the room door with your nose and the elevator with your right hand if you were weird enough to try something like that). We didn't hear the elevator at all and there were several bus loads of high school kids there that night. I would definitely stay there again.

“Good Location”

Holiday Inn Baltimore - Inner Harbor

Good location, the place has been recently remodeled and is much nicer than a few years back. Years ago I hated staying here, but now it would be my first choice. This is largely due to what is available around the hotel’s immediate vicinity. The beds are very comfortable, lots of pillows and the place was clean. However, it appeared that some of the floors may still be undergoing some change over. Not much for views, unless you have a high floor. The area is quick walk (ten minutes) to the Inner Harbor or to the Market. There are some newer small restaurants nearby that are not expensive. It is next to the light rail and the Univ. of MD Medical School. The restaurant is ok and pricey, but you can find better eats else where that are cheaper. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They do have an espresso coffee shop in the hotel, although a Starbucks is a couple of blocks away. Overall, if you are here for a business trip or if you are here to visit the city and see the sites it will do fine and you will be happy, if you are here to seek elegance and a five star accommodation, go elsewhere. This is an old, but updated business hotel that caters to business.

I'm not surprised to see mixed reviews of this hotel. We were really pleased with it and would definitely stay again. My best description would be that it is basically a 2-star hotel with some 3-star amenities. The decor is what you'd expect from a Holiday Inn, but our room was clean and in pretty good shape. The location is very convenient for the convention center and not bad for inner harbor. For $75/night, it would be hard to do better.
