My wife and I wanted to go to Inner Harbour for the weekend. We live about 2 hours from Baltimore and I did a lot of research on price, location, etc. I realized that although the hotel was about 1 mile from the main tourism locations, it had a free shuttle and gated parking for vehicles, which was only $10 for each night, vs some of the closer locations. Plus the rate was $40 dollars less! The decor was new, our room was spacious and a full line up of TV channels, which is rare on our bigger city trips...Breakast was free and a good variety of hot food. The hostess was very helpful and Tiffany at the Front desk gave us some great dinner recommendations....one of which was Fogo De Chao, which was an amazing Brazialian Steakhouse across from the Aquarium...and the shuttle dropped us off right at the door to it!

If you want a very close location, without the location price, and friendly, helpful staff....check out this hotel. It also is the first hotel as you come off of 1-95 from the West.

1st the bad-Checked in with Jeffrey upon arriving. Jeff didn't seem to know what he was doing. Our room was prepaid via Priceline, but Jeff claimed he couldn't locate our ressie. He did a manual ressie and charged us $0.00 for the room since it was prepaid. Lo and behold when we checked out we found out that we were charged $126.03 for unscheduled cancellation?????? Can't refund our money for 5 business days....

Now the good~ Our room 253 was absolutely wonderful. The furniture, bed, and wall decor was gorgeous. The king bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on including my own. The rain forest type shower head was the best...Everything was very well laid out for a Holiday Inn....Even the hot continental breaksfast was nice....Kudos to Holiday Inn Express.

The only downfall is the location..Not a nice neighborhood at all...And BEWARE the parking is not free ($10.00 per day), but there aren't signs posted anywhere to tell you that it is not free...It should be free because no one would want to park their car in this neighborhood without it being in a gated lot.

Stayed 2 nights for business. Free parking, free breakfast, free internet, excellent downtown location - that all for a great price. Free shuttle was a nice surprise. I used it to get to my meeting at the Intercontinental rather than having to pay for their valet. Not sure how old this Holiday Inn is but it looked brand new. I took few shots of my room, which had everything I needed. It was quiet, super clean, with the new modern furniture, good selection of cable channels, lovely bed with soft sheets, full size mirror (important!), good-size working desk, etc. The bathroom is not very big but perfectly suits to a single traveler. It has all the amenities you need. Ladies will certainly appreciate the big mirror (again), good lighting and plenty of counter space.

The business center has 2 computers with medium internet speed. This time I drove my own car, so I liked that the parking was gated and they had a security guy on at night. The front desk was efficient. They even called me when I was late for the shuttle 30 min before my meeting. Except for the fact that I got lost getting back on freeway going home, everything was superb. I'd stay here again.

We stayed here for two nights the last week of August. We used their shuttle service to the waterfront and were never picked up on the way back. After numerous calls to the lobby and being told they were on their way we took a taxi,after waiting over a hour for the shuttle. We came back to the room to a toilet which did not flush. We called the front desk about this and after waiting an hour for someone to come to fix this my husband went down to get someone to come up. The next day we returned to the room about 8:30 Pm and the room had never been cleaned, no new towels or anything. I had to call to get towels. I was very dissappoited to say the least. We are priority club members and have never had a bad Holiday experience before. They did have a very nice continental breakfast, which was one good thing. I think this could be a nice place if the service was better.
