The service was not good, the server was trying too hard at first and once we ordered he couldn't be found except when he came back to push extra dessert, cheese, drinks, etc on us. The manager was clueless, I was wearing a nice hat as I had just had surgery on my scalp and I guess the shaved head and the proximity to the hospital weren't a clue for him as to why I was wearing a hat, as he approached our table shortly after we were seated and he tried in broken English to ask me to remove it! The food here can be ordered ala carte, but is designed to served as a 3 or 5 course meal. If you don't want to eat meat, you have 2 options, cod or pasta with shrimp. I had lasagna, it was mostly veal with veal Demi glaze, ricotta cheese and tough noodles, there wasn't any tomato in sight, no cheese was offered for mine, nor for my dinner companions that ordered shrimp pasta. The pasta was bland, there were a few capers sprinkled in with heavy overcooked pasta, pretty shrimp that were tough and bland and a dash of white wine. We asked for pepper (although we had to wait 10 min for the waiter to reappear to ask for it, as nothing was offered) and once he provided some to one of us, he left without asking if anyone else wanted any, and didn't offer if we needed anything else. Before dessert came, the dessert menu was presented as if we needed extra dessert? before the main dishes were pulled (obviously something was wrong as the plates were obviously picked over) the manager reappeared and asked one of us if it was ok, and walked off before we could even say it was ok but...so clueless! Needless to say we would never go back.
