What a Wonderful meal!.The place is well located with parking in the premises. The service was excellent, our waitress did a great job. We took a tour of the restaurant with the Pirate impersonator who knows enough history of the city to keep your interest for the length of the walk. The prices are not bad, 19-25$ plate which is good since you are paying for a tourist attraction with a delightful meal. The dishes are creative based on southern favorites. Absolutely delicious! Must try any one of the house drinks!
Gave it 4 out 5 for one reason:
The ventilation in the place is not adequate. When we left the restaurant, the smell of fried food was all over our clothes and hair. Not good when you pay $100 for 2 people :-(
Over all a great experience, will return for more!

My wife and I loved this little place. The Catham Artillery Punch will make sure your a little tipsy by the time you leave and the pirate mug was nice. We had a Southern Fried Chicken Sandwhich that was there daily special and it was the best chicken sandwhich I have ever eaten. I was joking with my wife because the next time I ate chicken I told her they had ruined it for me because the sandwhich was that good.

I have been to Savannah three times over the last seven years and I have always made a point to have dinner at the Pirate's House due to its place in history as well as my first experience there. The food and the service were excellent. This prompted a second visit two years later. I had raved about this place to the folks traveling with me.

I was very disappointed (and somewhat embarassed). We were seated (a party of six) at a table clearly meant for a party of four. We were banging elbows as we dined. The service was horrid. That being said, they were extremely busy during this vist but if you can not handle the customers, limit the seating.

We returned two years later and were seated in the "private" dining room.. It was a wonderful experience. Both the waiter and the food were outstanding!

My sister went last year taking her family. It proved to be a disappointment.

It is too bad that they are not consistent but still think it is worth a the risk. I cannot find fault with their food. Everything was really good.

If you are into pirates, visit Queen Anne's Revenge in Charleston! We had lunch there a few years ago. A wonderful experience.

A neat atmosphere that can be a bit spooky. The food is good and the service is decent. Just don't walk into unoccupied rooms alone...you'll get the funny feeling that all the pirates might not be gone.

The Pirates House is an interesting piece of savannah history. You should visit but bring a brown bag lunch. If you are looking for good food there are a ton of options, but this is not a place to eat a great meal. It is fine for a cocktail and relaxing.

I am in Nashville, I recommend that visitng friends should go to Tottsies Orchid Lounge - like the Pirates House it is part of the local history - but you would not go for the food. Think Pat OBriens in New Orleans.

Living on its past reputation. Now herding tourist with mediocre food. Wish they would take cusine seriously,
