I always look at Bed and Breakfasts as a crap shoot. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don't. I really don't see how you could go wrong at the Catherine Ward House. We stayed in the smallest room in the place, since we were a bit on a budget, and it was great. We actually toured some of the other rooms when we left and they were all amazing. The place is clean, recently renovated with top notch, hip furnishings. This was no old moth balled, floral wallpapered inn. The inn keepers are all very accommodating and really do recommend the best tours and restaurants. The inn itself is located at Forsyth Park which is a nice walk to the more historical district part of the city. We actually enjoyed the walk since the architecture on the way is beautiful. This is the place to stay.

We stayed at the Catherine Ward House Inn for our honeymoon. It was an incredibly wonderful experience! Leslie, Bea and the staff were absoluty lovely! Everytime we walked into the house we were welcomed with a cheerful hello! The house and the rooms were very beautiful and private, and Savannah's historic district is easily within walking distance, which saved us a lot on gas. Breakfast was very tasty and innovative (so much so that even on our honeymoon we wanted to get up early!) The fresh-cut flowers and the beautiful array of plants and flowers growing around the house were a great added touch to an already memorable place. We enjoyed the CWHI and Savannah so much that we are already planning our trip back this Christmas. Our only complaint is having to come back to reality after having been treated like royalty! We were so spoiled that, if at all possible, we will never take another trip without staying at a B and B like CWHI!

My wife and I visited Savannah to celebrate our anniversary and to relive the city where we got engaged. We were pleased to find the Catherine Ward House Inn to be well-appointed and inviting. Our room was comfortable and private with a large bathroom and jacuzzi tub. The owners gladly gave us assistance with everything from tours and dinner reservations to help setting up cab rides. We felt save walking all over the city, but we heard nearby Forsyth Park is not a good place to go after dark. The inn is located with other victorian houses in the up-and-coming southern side of the historic district. We prefer the charm of these elaborate
"lovely ladies" to the Georgian and other classical styles closer to Bay Street. The Catherine Ward House Inn is a perfect example of what we came to see. The hospitality we experienced made our stay even better than we expected.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Catherine Ward House. The Inn was very clean, well decorated with wonderful service. Our breakfasts were top notch and the staff was helpful in arranging tours and quick with dinner suggestions. A place we would come back to and recommend to others.
