We moved to the Townplace Suites after having an unsatisfying stay at the Fairfield Inn Midtown. We love Marriott & always pick their hotels first when travelling (we travel a lot).

The front desk staff were very pleasant.

We had a studio suite that had a compact kitchen but had everything - full-size fridge, stove/oven, micro, pots, plates, everything!

The room was very clean & very nice, the bathroom was spacious. As this hotel is intended for extended stays, the room had a very large closet (almost a walk-in closet). Also had a pull-out queen sofa bed.

Unlike the other Marriott suites, this hotel does not have breakfast included.

However, it is located close to restaurants, the mall was a few miles down, & the post office was close by too (for stamps & to send postcards) so it was very convenient to everything.

I recommend this place & would definitely stay here again.

I returned to this hotel again this year so thought I would update you with the amenities I forgot to mention in my previous posting along with some photos.
The hotel has a fitness room with several machines for sole guest use ,
hotel provides free coffee/ tea/ 24 hours in main lobby , drinks machine and snack machine also in lobby area .
Laundry room with 4 washers and 4 driers , if you need quaters for the machines the front desk will change up dollers , postage stamps availiable also .
Once again the staff were fantastic and one member ( Jason ) even remembered me from my visit last year 2004
For one day only the pool was closed but hotel had policy withits sister hotel spring hill suites 3 mins walking for pool access and althou it was in doors they had a jacuzi ,fitness room and outside sun area which was most enjoyable .
other resturants nearby were The Olive Tree Italian resturant I would recommend the pizza any time .
a short drive to the Savannah shopping mall 5 mins away is the Texas Road house very nice steaks , now I havent eaten steak in England for over 10 years due to mad cow illness but that steak was delicious .
Further down the road next to Harley Davidson shop is Hooters and althou the food was edible just go and sit at the bar and have a beer and enjoy the fun , them girls sure have fun
