A lovely hotel - clean, comfortable and convenient! Right off the interstate so easily accessible en route to Florida. Lots of restaurants withing walking distance. An inside room entry and a clean and comfortable room. Generally a good experience - I will stay there again.

I used my goldpoints to stay at this hotel for 2 nights, so I really can't complain. However, I will write honestly so maybe it will help someone else. It is too far from the historic district, cannot go back and forth quickly. The breakfast was okay, more than continental , which is what I expected. The pool area was not the best, but the kids just wanted to be in the pool. The rooms are okay for what you would pay.There was some writing on the bathroom door and rust around the toilet holder. Most of the staff was okay except for one female, but we were only there 2 days. All in all it was tolerable but not convienent to downtown.

This was picked for us from Priceline of the Gateway District, in hindsight I should have paid more and stayed within the Historic District for the 2 nights. 15 mi away translates to 20-30 min. drive in traffic and not convenient to go back for freshing up and forget it if you left your camera behind or want to take a break. The continental breakfasts were definitely better than average. Room itself was a smoking room turned non-smoking but you can still smell the cigarette smoke emanating from the bed and carpets. The comforter had cigarette hole burns through to the mattress on both queen beds and were threadbare in other places. Paid $70/night and it was more of a you get what you paid for vs. I really got a great deal on this one.

We paid $74.00 with a coupon from one of those rest area coupon books. I guess it was a fair deal but the property is in poor shape. I have stayed at other Country Inns but this one definately falls short. The hall had peeling wallpaper. The bathroom had a flourescent fixture that flickered and there was much mildew in the bathtub. The floor was sticky and the toilet paper holder fixture was gross. There were crumbs and stains in the desk chair. The carpet felt dirty when you walked on it barefoot. Unfortunately we checked in and threw our stuff in the room then headed to downtown Savanna. We did not return until late that night and we were too tired to complain and ask for another room. We did report the condition to the desk clerk who seemed indifferent.

There are many other choices at this exit at the same pricepoint.
