I made an online reservation which had to be cancelled fewer than 48 hours after I made it. Because I had chosen the least expensive room rate, there was a $25 "cancellation fee" charged to me. Beware of this and don't get sucked into this scam. Upon calling Country Inns and Suites' Customer Service, I was told by a very rude representative that this information is "all over the page." Well, it is, but it is where you'd never read unless you've been caught in this trap before. I can only assume this is a policy for the entire chain, so I'm not singling out this location. I've always enjoyed staying at Country Inns and Suites, but I won't be staying there any more.

Chose this hotel because of it's indoor pool and inside rooms on the drive from South Carolina to Orlando. Should have picked one of the other hotels in the gateway area! Although the room was clean there was hole, which had been painted over - badly, and there was a smell of cigarettes in a non-smoking hotel! One of the TV's wasn't working - it took 20 minutes for the girl from the front desk to arrive. She just gave it a big hit on the top! Wouldn't stay in this hotel or any other Country Inn again.

It took 3 tries to get a clean smelling room and during that time the girl that was helping us acted inconveinced. The staff was not friendly, and was less than welcoming. I expect to feel welcomed when I am staying out of town and I will never stay at this hotel again.

Stopped on way to FL after having had a great stay nite before in a Country Inn in Maryland. Guess our expectations were too high. Outrageously expensive. We had to go to dinner before we could have our room (6pm). While he was cleaning our room, the guy had been smoking a joint. We had hoped to get a view of Savannah before leaving the area, but this interchange on I95 is crowded and far away from Savannah.
Was nice that we could walk to dinner, as the zoning must have put all the Exit 94 motels and restaurants in their own little village.
Breakfast was GREAT. The pool was so-so. Front desk staff friendly, but definitely stressed.
I would stay further North on I95 where it might be cheaper & just as good: no point in paying for Savannah when you aren't really there!
