I stayed at the suburban for an extended stay of several months during hospital rotations to complete a degree. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are outfitted in a style that you would expect for a moderately priced hotel, but they had no problem with my supplying my own bedding for my extended stay; in fact I felt like the staff went out of their way to accomodate me in any way to make my stay comfortable. The small kitchenette supported my preparing my own meals to keep my costs down; the table with chairs gave me a place to eat, work and study.Plenty of great calbe channels to enjoy after a long day. The bathroom had no tub, but was plenty large enough for me to store everything that a girl might need to set up housekeeping for an extended time. The onsite laundry room was clean, reasonably priced, well-kept, and always in working order. The whole place was clean and well tended to.
The front desk was great about notifying me of arriving packages, phone messages, etc. The Suburban is well located near plenty of places to eat and shop and not far from all the great places that a tourist might want to visit; all is an easy drive or accessible via bus (stop is right out your door).
This location has many truly extended stay residents (building contractors, students, military members) so there doesn't seem to be a great deal of turn over traffic; I knew the people in nearby units and always felt safe (a BIG plus for a woman travelling alone!).
The rates were VERY reasonable and while the weekly rate did go up during St Pat's, even for established guests, the resulting rates were still far below those of surrounding hotels.
Overall, great value, safe place with great staff. A true find.
