Overall, I was quite happy with this hotel. I got the cheapest room but it came with an excellent view of the savannah river.
The room itself was nothing special, but it was definitely clean and inviting. Not all rooms have the river view, but I imagine they all have good views of something, as the city has few tall buildings.
The pool area was great; it was open-air and connected with the fitness facility, which was perfunctory but clean and what equipment there was seemed to be brand new.
I rarely valet my car, but this place made it easy and inexpensive: $15/day in a city with virtually no long-term parking is a deal in my book. I never waited more than 60 seconds for my car.
The concierge was also very helpful, but I noticed that she was part-time; I didn't see her for two of the three days I was at the hotel.
As far as location, this is pretty darn good; you can't do better unless you're at a $300/night bed and breakfast, and those don't have outdoor swimming pools (if you're into that sort of thing). This is close to pretty much everything, especially the ultra-touristy riverwalk area.
