“What a treat”

We stayed in the Huntingdon room - it's so luxurious, and every detail is there, including an in-room coffee pot and comfy robes. They even placed a copy of 'midnight in the garden of evil' (dvd) in the room for us to get a flavor of Georgian life. Yummy breakfast too. Nice base for exploring historic Savannah.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with the McMillan Inn. Walking into the Inn was like stepping back in time (of course with modern day ammendities). The owners, Cindy and Joe, were inviting, sweet, and the perfect hosts, and little Gigi topped it off. The breakfasts were very yummy, and we can definitely recommend the Gaston Room (very romantic!). We are absolutely going to stay here again! Thanks!!!

“Home away from home”

McMillan Inn

My husband & I went to Savannah with two other couples. The six of us occupied the top floor of the Inn. We stayed in the beautifully decorated Huntington Room. There is nothing that we would've changed in that room. It was perfect & very romantic. Joe & Cindy provide all the amenities that you need as if you were at home. There is a mini refrigerator in the rooms with water, soda & juice, as well as access to the refrigerator in the main kitchen. In the main parlor there are the best chocolate chip cookies, brownies & chocolate covered strawberries for the guests. Breakfast is served at 9am in the dining room at a formally set table. Cindy prepares the three course breakfast herself, along with unlimited orange juice, water, coffee or tea. This wonderful breakfast prepares you for a full day of sightseeing & also allows you to skip lunch. Breakfast is not mandatory, simply a nice gesture. If 9am is too early, there are plenty of eateries in Savannah where you can get breakfast or an early lunch. The Inn is located on a quiet street a bit away from all the hustle & bustle, but within walking distance to everything.
We loved our visit to Savannah and have already recommended the Mc Millan Inn to our family & friends. We will definitely stay here again if we come back. Thank you Joe & Cindy for making our stay a memorable one.

My husband and I just returned from our very first visit to the McMillan Inn. It was absolutely incredible. This was the first time either of us had stayed at a "Bed & Breakfast" and were so thrilled with our choice. The owners Joe and Cindy, are doing an outstanding job with running the inn and making their guests feel like part of their family and a part of the area. It was all the little details that they provided during our stay that made it so memorable and enjoyable. While there were others staying at the inn, it offered complete privacy and solitude. It was truly like taking a step back in time and getting lost for a while. It felt like home away from home. The breakfasts that were served each morning were beyond compare and were an unexpected surprise. We are looking forward to returning again and enjoying another one of the rooms that are offered at the inn; as each room posesses its own special atmosphere. I know that if you choose this inn as a stop on your travels, you will not be disappointed!

Honestly, McMillan Inn was not our first choice. Searching online, it's clear Savannah has a zillion B&Bs, and we had very specific criteria - from price to room accommodations to location. McMillan turned out to be the BEST choice, by far.
The Abercorn room was perfect for Mom and I. (The day bed is quite comfy.) It offered everything one might need, from the mini-fridge to the robes. I marvel at how Cindy manages to provide and cleverly place every possible amenity, i.e. the ironing board hangs behind the bathroom door under beautiful lace.
I was concerned about our location as it seemed we were far from the "action" and my mom has some foot issues. But we loved it, as we were able to really take in the beauty of the district. (Forsythe Park is very close and a great place for a run.) We learned that wherever you stay, you will be walking as long as your feet will hold out. After that, you'll pay lots of money for pedi-cabs or ride trolleys.
Joe and Cindy are warm, authentic and truly possess the gift of hospitality, as does their entire staff. The inn is very clean and the restoration is gorgeous (even if you're not a big Victorian Era fan, you cannot deny the beauty of this house.) And it was nice to find an inn that wasn't insisting we acknowledge all the "unseen ghostly guests" that could be lurking. (Although my cell phone did have trouble charging in the Abercorn room. woooooo...)
Look no further for your room. You have found it at the McMillan Inn.
p.s. I haven't added photos b/c McMillan's website photos are absolutely accurate.
