We chose this hotel because we were weary and the location was convenient. Room was dirty - floor, door casings and bathroom. Breakfast was limited. One desk person was pleasant, the other surly.
Should we be in Savannah again we will not choose this hotel.

“Great Location but the place is a DUMP”

We picked this motel due to location and price. Location was great - only 3 blocks to the historic district and on a main street.
I'd read reviews of this property being renovated, but I failed to see it. Our room was filthy. It literally smelled like urine. The carpet was filthy - our socks turned black when you walked across it - and was even damp in spots. The walls were even dirty, and not just near the floor - there was even dirt near the ceiling and some kind of stains like soda or coffe had been thrown at it. If you have mold alllergies stay away - there was mold growing all over in the bathroom and the ceiling in the tub compartment was coming down. The continental breakfast was a joke. Some cereal with warm milk and stale danish. The OJ machine didn't keep the juice cold and one sip had me thinking it was spoiled. other than the location, there isn't much nice to say about this property.

I've seen a few reviews on here that mention that the hotel was clean. I couldn't pinpoint one surface (wall, floor, sink or otherwise) that was clean. We encountered a number of roaches in our room and one of the "clean" towels on the rack had pubic hairs in it.

This hotel is in need of parking lot security. We were harassed by panhandlers by our car and near our room every night as we returned to the hotel.

It is short walk to everything but it was not worth the filth.

Have your shots current if you intend on staying at this hotel.

Walking distance to Riverwalk---a no frills hotel but clean and a very friendly staff----would upgrade next time but not bad for a night's stay---you get what you pay for and it was OK

“Great location but......”

The location is great. It's walking distance to the histroic sites. The staff are nice, but......

1) They charged us $8 to park! It was late at night so we didn't have the energy to find another place. But, we were able to keep the car there while we went sightseeing the next day.

2) There's no weather strip on the door so there is a gap on the door. Light was coming in and who knows what else.

3) There's an ambulance that parks in the parking lot near our room that had the engine on for a very long time. It was pretty loud. It was still there the next day. I guess they pay Econo Lodge to be there.

4) incense is not air freshener!

5) The carpet looks cruddy.

Stay at your own discretion!
