This is assembly line dining passed off as a Southern tradition. You wait in line, and they seat entire tables of 8 or 10 at once. We had an empty seat at our table, but they did not ask those standing in line if there were any singles who wanted to take the opening. Once seated, the food is already on the table in mismatched bowls and you start passing. We were served fried chicken (ok, but very plain and lacked seasoning), a good BBQ pork, and what was supposed to be beef stew, but was really just beef, gravy and sliced carrots. There were about 10 side dishes, some of which were unrecognizable, such as a mushy conbread mix that was purported to be dressing. The mashed potatoes were tart and vinegary, which is fine, but unexpected. The greens were cooked through, but lacked any kick. There was also cabbage, green beans, peas with noodles, and creamed corn. None had much flavor., except the okra and tomato mix. The table is set with sweet tea; a waitress so rudely bellowed at us to ask if anyone wanted unsweetened tea or water that I was almost afraid to raise my hand. Diners who had exited while we were in line mentioned that they had peach cobbler and banana pudding, but when it was our turn for dessert, we were served just 2 TBSP of banana pudding, and the waitress (a different one) wouldn't answer a fellow diner's question re: the lack of peach cobbler. At the time we were passed the pudding, we were instructed to gather our plates, silverware, glass and napkin and take them to the kitchen on our way to the cashier when we were done. I couldn't believe we had to bus our own tables! In summation, the food was ok, but not at all worth the poor service and 90 min wait, or the $15.
