Another couple and us stayed here in early June and it was everything that everyone wrote about it on Trip Advisor. We so loved the place from the owner Ed who was just great and the unbelievable interior decorating and art work that furnished the whole house. It is centrally located to everything to see and do in Savannah. Once we parked our car on Friday, we never used it again until it was time to leave on Monday.
The breakfast every morning is an awesome feast of multiple items that are homemade that morning by Ed. It was a great way to start each day. And it never was the same. Ed offered excellent advice on things to do and eat. We ate at the Old Pink House and it was great. We also ate at a place called Garibaldi's that Ed had recommended and were not disappointed there either.
The 1895 Inn was by far the best deal in Savannah and is easily worth more than they charge. We found ourselves being around for wine & cheese hour every night even though we said ahead of time we did not want to worry about making it. All of the guests we encountered were nice and it was fun to just sit around and talk to people from other places.
We cannot wait to go back and stay again. Hopefully Ed and Bob the owners will keep it going for quite a few more years.
