I just returned from Savannah after a Labor Day Weekend trip with my mother. We had a wonderful time and the Mansion on Forsyth Park couldn't have been a better choice! Clean rooms, wonderful service (helpful and friendly!) The hotel is right on the park and in good walking or driving distance to all the sights. It's really a very nice property with a good restaurant and two nice bars on the property. Also, although we didn't go in, the pool looked very nice.

If you are in Savannah I HIGHLY recommend a cooking class at the Mansion on Forsyth Park (which is on the property). Chef Darin is amazing! We had a wonderful time, learned a lot and had great company and a great teacher. (You do NOT have to be staying at the hotel to take a class!)

Sadly, I left the Mansion disappointed. I had far better expectations of their service level then I observed during my 2-night stay. Yes, the hotel is lovely, and the room was comfortable, well-appointed and had luxurious touches (turkish towels, spa grade bath products, soaking tub and beautiful bed linens). BUT, for almost $300 a night, I do expect such things. It's service that makes you return. The concerige was of little help - not even a map! The maid service forgot to replenish the face cloths one day. When we called to request they bring some to the room, they didn't believe us. Finally, over an hour later, they arrived with 3 face clothes - not the nice turkish kind, but ones that looked more like dust cloths; it's as if they thought we were stealing the towels. The location of this establishment leaves a lot to be desired - and as mentioned by some others, borders on questionable, depending on which direction you walk; it's really best to drive (which is always valet at the Mansion). If I thought I was being too picky, I lost that feeling as soon as we traveled onto our next two destination hotels; one in Hilton Head, SC, the other in Charleston, SC. Both rated 4-stars, and both far exceeded the Mansion. That's why I say "just average".

This is a beautiful hotel....almost intimidating. I LOVE hotels however I love to get them at discounted rates. I found the hotel by doing a search for resorts in NC and SC so that my husband and I could celebrate our anniversary. I was surprised when the website for Mansion on Forsyth Park popped up because it was in GA for one and because they were having a special for $179 a night. The website was gorgeous and I couldnt imagine that the place really looked that nice. Well I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel looked better than the website. I have pictures to prove it! The room was beautiful and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. My only complaint was the room service menu. Had they offered more choices, my husband and I would have never left the hotel the entire 3 days we were there!

Stayed here for the 2nd time this past July- loved it as much as the 1st time we stayed here 2 years ago.
Very comfortable beds- "eclectic" atmosphere- friendly staff- excellent drinks and great food. We love Savannah and we love the Mansion~ Will return again and again and again.....~
