My husband and I wanted to stay in the historic district during our recent trip to Savannah. We decided to stay at the Bed & Breakfast Inn based on price (booked a room on the Inn's website, Manager's Choice special--you don't get to choose your room but you do get a lower price) and good reviews. The Inn did not disappoint--the staff was very friendly and accommodating, the afternoon tea and morning breakfast were delicious, the room was comfortable, and we were able to walk everywhere in the historic district. Highly recommend this Inn if you are looking for something around $150/night.

I agree with the other reviews. This place is what I was looking for. Simple, arts and crafts furnishings, wonderful breakfasts with great conversations, and a very helpful staff. I loved the location, in the outer part of the historic district near Forsythe Park. That made it quiet and far from the maddening tourists crowds, yet everything in the city you want to see was easily accessible and we had many wonderful strolls from our front door. Why go to super fancy, expensive b&bs unless you need your ego stroked. This place is what a b&b should be.

Just returned from 3 nights in Savannah. Highly recommend Savannah Bed and Breakfast Inn, on W. Gordon Street near Chatham Square. 1block from Mercer House of "The Book" fame. 2 blocks from Forsyth Park. Restored townhouses in peaceful, quiet neighborhood and convenient to the entire old historic district. Room was very comfortable, well decorated. Staff was very helpful, friendly, efficient. Breakfasts and afternoon snacks were excellent. Had to stay at larger hotel on Bay Street for third night and missed the charm and quiet of the older section. You won't experience the real atmosphere and charm of Savannah if you don't stay at one of the old inns away from the busy waterfront. This is a great small city for a vacation.

I have just returned from a tour of Savannah,Memphis,New Orleans and lots of small towns inbetween, with our first 3 nights at the Savannah B&B.Firstly we did have difficulty booking a B&B as it was St Paddys day (why the big fuss??) and we were practically pushed into booking the B&B due to lack of choice. However we were not disapointed.Compared to the prices of other establishments it was a steel. We were given the Yellow room( yellow decor!) on the third floor, it was lovely. In fact the whole place was just what we had expected, very charming, quaint and in a perfect location. The breakfasts were freshly cooked and very tasty, the emplyees very friendly and welcoming.A nice touch was the afternoon tea. I plan to return tto Savannah in the near future and will stay here again, its perfect.

We have stayed at The Bed and Breakfast Inn three times on different trips around the southern States. We would happily stay there again.
The web site shows the variety of rooms and their unique styles. Clearly much effort has gone into creating a pleasing and different Inn, focused on a pride in the history of Savannah.
The staff have always been helpful and friendly, ready to suggest sights and visits. Rooms have been clean and tidy.
Breakfasts feature a different Southern cooked dish each day with self service cereal, juice and coffee (or tea).
Afternoon tea is a feature with fresh cooked cakes and cookies.
We met the Inn Keeper at breakfast; he recounted historical events in and around Savannah and places to visit.
