We recently stayed at the Hamilton-Turner Inn Oct.5-8, 2007 and had a fabulous time. We stayed in the Flannery O'Connor Room which was located on the 1st floor of the separate carriage house. The bed was very comfortable and the room features a separate entrance out onto the courtyard. Parking is only available on the streets but we never had a problem finding parking for free the entire time we stayed there. The breakfasts were delicious- my favorite was the Georgia Peach French Toast. They also offer snacks and beverages in the afternoon and they leave treats on your pillow at turn down time every night. The owners and staff were all extremely hospitable and willing to accommodate your every need. I would definitely recommend this Inn!

“Beautiful”

We recently had the privilege of staying in the Earl of Chatham Suite. There was soft music playing when we entered the sunny, beautifully decorated and furnished room. We came back in the evening to find the beds turned down, our robes set out and goodies on the pillow. The room was large, extremely clean, homey with lovely knick-knacks everywhere and everything worked perfectly. There were plenty of windows and even live plants, a desk, free internet access and unbelievably, electrical outlets everywhere!! We enjoyed sitting in the parlor sipping a glass of port before climbing all those stairs back to the room. Soaking in the jacuzzi tub and curling up on the sofa with a good book or watching a movie loaned from the front desk then climbing in the comfortable bed was the perfect ending to a perfect day The young man working the desk was polite and helpful which made up for the female owner who certainly did not give us a warm welcome. Luckily we didn't have much contact with her so it's not a factor. We chose Hamilton Turner because of it's beauty, not the owner's personality. That will not affect my decision to stay there again or recommend to my friends.

My travel companion and I were both so impressed with every aspect of our visit to the Hamilton-Turner Inn. When we arrived a lovely gentleman carried our bags in and was so helpful, suggesting things to do and see that we hadn't thought of (and arranging for a Pedicab, which was a great experience). The house is beautifully maintained. In the sitting room there were drinks and snacks offered throughout the day. Our room was so cozy, everything from the music playing on the radio to the comfortable bed to the plush towels was a treat. Breakfast in the morning was delicious (pecan pancakes, ham and eggs) and to be served by an owner / operator was quite impressive. The entire staff made such a good impression! Everyone we came in contact with did such a great job!!

The Hamilton-Turner Inn in Savannah, GA is a beautiful bed and breakfast right in the heart of downtown Savannah. Each part of this inn from the entrance to the individual rooms are expertly and wonderfully decorated. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and in keeping with southern hospitality, very accommodating. The food was excellent and the restaurant is a warm and inviting place to enjoy a meal. There are all the wonderful small touches that made this inn a joy to visit from the fresh baked cookies on your pillow at night to the bathrobes in your closet. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here and not only would stay there again, but would recommend this inn to anyone visiting the Savannah area.

“Best Inn Ever”

Hamilton-Turner Inn

The Hamilton-Turner Inn is one of the most impressive architectural structures I have ever seen. Savannah is known for it's historic buildings and it is one of the gems. The Inn is elegantly decorated with high end imenities. The breakfast was amazing, I especially like the grits with the frattata. Jim and Gay were gracious host's as was the entire staff. The room was more then I expected and I felt completely pampered. The housekeeping staff was very pleasant and kept our room imaculate. We will definately return.
