First off, why Tripadvisor rates this place with 3 stars is a mystery. It is, after all, a member of the toney "Select Registry" group of inns and B&Bs, all of which are luxurious and expensive. And the H-T Inn is certainly both luxurious and expensive, but on what was our 3rd trip to Savannah, we are glad we finally opened up the wallet and stayed there. You get all the trimmings at this historic and beautiful inn -- tea and delicious finger food in the early afternoon, wine and more goodies just before dinner, and some port before bed time, all consumed in the gorgeous parlor with art, fresh roses and people who can afford this kind of thing on a regular basis. Breakfast (stuffed French toast on our day) is served in an equally beautiful dining room with windows taller than Wilt Chamberlain and china most fine. Amazingly, amongst all this glamor the tone of this inn is remarkably unpretentious and the staff most helpful. The inn's location on Lafayette Sq could not be better, and if you get room 105 ($200+ for a Tues night stay) you have a private entrance that makes you feel like part of the local royalty. For a special stay in a special city, look no further.

We stayed at the Hamilton-Turner Inn between December 26th until Dec 30, 2007.
This is a bed and breakfast in Old Savannah. The owners and staff are fantastic. There is nothing that they were not able to help with.
The Breakfast is not only very very well done, it is extremely healthy as the owner is a nurse and sets the menu to be beneficial.
Having taken a " Regent" Cruise lately, I would compare the fantastic service and breakfast with the Cruise liner.
Besides the breakfast there is an afternoon tea as well as evening wine service all included.
It feels like home.
I recommend it as one of the best in the USA.

“Excellent Stay”

We stayed here for our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's expensive, but well worth it for a special occasion. Our room was comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious; "gourmet" is a drastically overused word these days, but the food at the Hamilton-Turner lives up to the description and was different every morning. There is one important thing to remember: have the front desk make your restaurant and taxi reservations. They're particular about it, and you'll be glad you did as the cabs in Savannah are unreliable. As we had heard from others, the owners are partial to mildly annoying muzak, but that was a minor distraction. If you're looking for someplace elegant for a special occasion with your significant other, this is a great choice.

We recently stayed at the Hamilton-Turner Inn Oct.5-8, 2007 and had a fabulous time. We stayed in the Flannery O'Connor Room which was located on the 1st floor of the separate carriage house. The bed was very comfortable and the room features a separate entrance out onto the courtyard. Parking is only available on the streets but we never had a problem finding parking for free the entire time we stayed there. The breakfasts were delicious- my favorite was the Georgia Peach French Toast. They also offer snacks and beverages in the afternoon and they leave treats on your pillow at turn down time every night. The owners and staff were all extremely hospitable and willing to accommodate your every need. I would definitely recommend this Inn!

“Beautiful”

Hamilton-Turner Inn

We recently had the privilege of staying in the Earl of Chatham Suite. There was soft music playing when we entered the sunny, beautifully decorated and furnished room. We came back in the evening to find the beds turned down, our robes set out and goodies on the pillow. The room was large, extremely clean, homey with lovely knick-knacks everywhere and everything worked perfectly. There were plenty of windows and even live plants, a desk, free internet access and unbelievably, electrical outlets everywhere!! We enjoyed sitting in the parlor sipping a glass of port before climbing all those stairs back to the room. Soaking in the jacuzzi tub and curling up on the sofa with a good book or watching a movie loaned from the front desk then climbing in the comfortable bed was the perfect ending to a perfect day The young man working the desk was polite and helpful which made up for the female owner who certainly did not give us a warm welcome. Luckily we didn't have much contact with her so it's not a factor. We chose Hamilton Turner because of it's beauty, not the owner's personality. That will not affect my decision to stay there again or recommend to my friends.
